I am a former television columnist and features writer for the Home News Tribune, a Gannett-owned daily newspaper in Central New Jersey. In 2005, I introduced a weekly column devoted to TV called Channel Surfing, which appeared every Sunday in the Home News Tribune, the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill (N.J.), the Courier News of Bridgewater (N.J.) and online at http://www.mycentraljersey.com. In 2006, I began a daily blog focusing largely on TV and entertainment-related subjects. I also penned Stargazer, a column poking fun at celebrities, in 2008.

In addition to TV, I have extensive experience writing about numerous other topics, including (but certainly not limited to): medical issues, dating in the 21st century, profiles of local residents, slice-of-life stories, interviews with celebrities such as musicians, comedians and actors, and concert and book reviews. My articles have been picked up by Gannett News Service, including http://www.USAToday.com

In February 2009 I began my own blog, http://www.avagacser.wordpress.com, which focuses on celebrities, television, movies, books and theater. A great many of my blog posts also relate to my oh-so-popular home state of New Jersey. My blog received over 445,000 hits within its first year.

I have been a member of the Television Critics Association since 2005.
